current source is active device  its send  the current in load through the conductor

The circuit which delivers current by not depending on the voltage across its terminal is called current source.There are 2 types of current sources-

1. Independent- Does not depend on some other voltage or current in the circuit.
2. Dependent-Depend on some other voltage or current in the circuit.

FET stands for Field effect trasistor. It is a unipolar device. It input impedence is very high.
